is Included?

- Three nights in Madrid. Two nights in Madrid at the beginning of the programme and one night prior to departure.
- Accommodation in Madrid in triple occupancy rooms in a centrally located tourist class hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
- Guided Madrid city tour and entrances to the Prado museum.
- Group transfer from Madrid to Salamanca, escorted by AIFS Salamanca Programme Co-ordinator.
- Housing in twin room Spanish homestay with three meals per day, seven days a week and once a week laundry service.
- Orientation programme in Salamanca consisting of an orientation meeting with AIFS staff, a welcome tapas reception and half-day sightseeing tour of Salamanca with the services of a professional guide.
- Academic program of courses taught by Washington Community College Consortium for Study Abroad (WCCCSA) faculty.
- Spanish language courses at 3 levels taught by approved Spanish faculty at the AIFS Study Center in Salamanca.
- Spanish Life and Culture course (Art, History, Literature, Culture) delivered in English by a guest lecturer.
- A full-time AIFS programme co-ordinator to work with WCCCSA faculty and students and provide emergency contact service.
- Access to the AIFS Study Center and support services including classroom space, library, audiovisual equipment and shared computer.
- Internet facilities at the AIFS Study Center in Salamanca.
- Day excursions and visits to Segovia and Ávila including entrances into the Alcázar and tower in Segovia and city walls in Ávila, Finca de Toros (bull farm) for tour of the facilities and opportunity to participate in mini-corrida.
- A weekly program of cultural events including guided visits to both Salamanca’s cathedrals, Salamanca University, tapas tour and cinema trip and further optional subsidised activities.
- All meals, including a welcome reception and farewell meal.
