Motion Picture Appreciation

Motion Picture Appreciation is an introductory course in which the student will learn how to analyze films on technical, aesthetic, and thematic levels. Historically significant films will be used as source material. Proficiency will be demonstrated in critical essays. CSU;UC

Art History and Appreciation - Fundamentals

This course is designed to further the general education of all students. Students study the basic art principles and elements and how they are applied to art forms from prehistoric times to the present. London provides an especially ideal environment in which to introduce the arts, for it is a city rich in architecture, and London abounds with famous museums and galleries. CSU;UC

Beginning Drawing

Beginning drawing is a foundation course. It is an introduction to perspective, gridding for enlargement, value study, form, analysis, composition, and drawing concerns such as content, historical/cultural context, technique, and aesthetics. Work is in standard drawing media. This course is required of all art majors and is a prerequisite to all studio art courses. London is a wonderful city in which to learn the foundation of drawing, and your sketch book will bring back memories for years to come. CSU;UC (CAN ART 8)

Intermediate Drawing

Prerequisite: Art 111 (Beginning Drawing) Intermediate Drawing emphasizes conceptual art through advanced imaginative and subjective approaches to drawing. This course includes experimental use of media, theoretical and conceptual approaches to content, and examination of aesthetics within contemporary drawing concerns.
