What is Included?

  • Academic program of courses relevant to Spain and Europe taught by California Community College faculty and local guest lecturers.

  • Housing: twin rooms in homestays in residential areas of Granada and Madrid with breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week in Granada and breakfast and dinner seven days per week in Madrid. Weekly laundry in homestays.

  • Orientation program including student and academic orientation meetings and half-day sightseeing tours of Granada and Madrid.

  • Madrid metro pass valid on public transport in the central zone and for travel to and from accommodation provided by AIFS.

  • Spanish Life and Culture course focusing on the historical, political, economic and cultural aspects of contemporary Spain consisting of 6 weekly meetings with some related field excursions in Granada and 6 weekly meetings some related field excursions with in Madrid.

  • Access to AIFS Student Center providing on-site student information services from experienced, full time AIFS staff.

  • “Welcome meal” in Granada and “Farewell meal” in Madrid.

  • Program of extracurricular activities including day trips from Granada to Seville and Nerja and from Madrid to Segovia/Avila and El Escorial/The Valley of the Fallen plus local visits in each site.

  • Mid-program tour to Portugal.
