The Cape of Good Hope
The whole of the southernmost portion of the Cape Peninsula is a wild, rugged, scenic and generally unspoiled national park. Home to all creatures great and small, there is a wealth of animals such as lizards, snakes, tortoises and insects. There are some herds of zebra, eland and a variety of other antelope. Small mammals include striped mouse, water mongoose, Cape clawless otter and white deer. The Chacma Baboon troops on the Cape peninsula are the only protected population of this species in Africa. During the low tide they may be seen roaming the beaches, feeding on sand hoppers and shellfish.

The Cape of Good Hope gives way to picturesque beaches, where glorious white sand alternate with rugged stretches of rock and breathtaking cliffs. The fairest cape of all is protected by the iconic lighthouse, safeguarding sea men against the cape of storms. Despite its reputation among early navigators as a 'Cape of Storms', the Cape is also a place of gentleness, tranquillity and alluring beauty.

Stellenbosch Winelands
Stellenbosch is synonymous with the oldest Wine Route in the country, which draws wine-lovers from around the world. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and dramatic mountains, Stellenbosch is only 30 minutes from Cape Town and offers the best in Western Cape warmth and hospitality. The stunning backdrop of the Hottentot Holland Mountains, the oak tree lined lanes in the streets and the white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads all blend in to give a visitor to Stellenbosch an unforgettable experience.

Robben Island
For nearly 400 years, Robben Island, was a place of banishment, exile, isolation and imprisonment. It was here that rulers sent those they regarded as political troublemakers, social outcasts and the unwanted of society. During the apartheid years Robben Island became internationally known for its institutional brutality. The duty of those who ran the Island and its prison was to isolate opponents of apartheid and to crush their morale. Some freedom fighters spent more than a quarter of a century in prison for their beliefs. One of these remarkable people is Nelson Mandela. Robben Island came to symbolise, not only for South Africa, but for the entire world, the triumph of the human spirit over enormous hardship and adversity.
